Design all aspects of HMI design for Fuso and BharatBenz branded products.

Be the technically responsible individual for the development of human machine interface and features that are central to the user experience of our products.

Strong background in HMI design and development, with experience in the automotive industry. They should also have excellent communication skills, as well as a strong understanding of user-centered design principles and the ability to design intuitive and user-friendly interfaces.

Essential Job Functions:

Define the meaning of HMI as DTA based on DT global HMI concept.
Design and develop the user interface for a vehicle, including displays, touchscreens, and physical controls.
Conduct user research to gather insights into how drivers interact with vehicles, and use these insights to inform the design of the HMI.
Collaborate with other members of the design team, such as engineers, testing team, product managers, and UX designers, to ensure that the HMI is functional, intuitive, and aesthetically pleasing.
Create prototypes and mockups of the HMI, and test them with users to gather feedback and refine the design.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, and incorporate these into the design of the HMI as appropriate.
Design and develop the user interface, including graphics, animations, and interactions, to ensure a seamless and intuitive user experience.
Directly responsible for end-to-end success of the features from early R&D though production launch.
Translate consumer behaviors across vehicle segments to in-vehicle interactions.
Create not only digital contents, but design everything around drivers, both for cabin inside / outside.
Evolve in-vehicle interactions and highly interactive component designs from concepts through development then to production.
Manage diverse collaborative teams of Engineers, Marketers, Designers, Regulatory, Marketing,
User Experience and Program Management individuals throughout the design to delivery process.
Work with global team to define the HMI scenario for Daimler Truck entities with high level of cross collaboration.
Our department will be leading the HMI related topics, so we expect active leadership capabilities.
Create visual and interactive design solutions for automotive systems by applying the methodology of an Industrial design process with a comprehensive approach.
Manage outside engineering services; contract manufacturing organizations to develop designs to achieve high-quality customer facing attributes as well as high volume/low-cost manufacturability.

QualificationsQualifications

Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field such as Human-Computer Interaction, User Experience Design, Industrial Design, or a related field.
Strong portfolio demonstrating experience in designing and developing HMIs for automotive or related industries.
Proficiency in industry-standard design tools such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.
Basic knowledge of related software’s and programing to effectively communicate with cross-functional teams; easy to negotiate.
Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and user research methodologies.
Familiarity with the latest HMI technologies, including touchscreens, displays, physical controls, and voice-activated systems.
Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to HMIs, including automotive safety and accessibility standards.
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
A passion for design, technology, and the automotive industry, with a strong desire to create innovative and user-friendly HMIs.
