The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting security assessments of automotive systems, identifying vulnerabilities in embedded components and vehicle networks, and supporting secure product development activities. The candidate will collaborate with cybersecurity architects, product teams, and development stakeholders to improve the security posture of automotive products.
Derive penetration testing scope for components and vehicles using product architecture, TARA, and other security documentation.
Perform penetration testing and security assessments of ECUs, vehicle systems, and connected automotive components.
Assess automotive communication protocols such as CAN/CAN-FD, UDS, OBD, DoIP, SOME/IP, and Automotive Ethernet.
Conduct hardware security assessments, including UART, JTAG, SWD, SPI, and I2C interface analysis.
Perform security testing of vehicle interfaces including USB, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and Cellular (LTE/5G) connectivity.
Execute firmware extraction, static analysis, and basic reverse engineering activities.
Identify, validate, and document security vulnerabilities with clear remediation recommendations.
Prepare penetration testing reports and communicate findings to project stakeholders.
Collaborate with development and cybersecurity teams to support vulnerability remediation and security improvements.
Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related engineering field.
2–3 years of experience in Automotive Cybersecurity, Embedded Security, or Penetration Testing.
Good understanding of automotive ECU architectures and vehicle communication networks.
