CAE - Testing Lifetime

The CAE – Testing Lifetime role in the MB/PTC‑L department focuses on delivering robust durability and fatigue analyses for Daimler India Commercial Vehicles. You will lead component‑level and full‑vehicle simulations, translate durability requirements into quantifiable CAE targets, and validate virtual results against physical test data. Active involvement in DFMEA sessions, concept generation, and failure resolution, coupled with the advancement of simulation methods, will ensure the reliability and longevity of our commercial vehicle platforms.

  • Develop and execute durability and fatigue simulations for components and full vehicles using industry‑standard CAE tools.
  • Translate durability specifications into measurable CAE targets and performance criteria.
  • Correlate simulation outcomes with physical test data to validate and refine virtual models.
  • Participate in DFMEA workshops, providing CAE insights for risk identification and mitigation.
  • Collaborate with design teams to generate robust concepts and resolve durability‑related failures.
  • Create and maintain detailed CAE documentation, reports, and technical presentations.
  • Continuously improve simulation methodologies for higher accuracy, efficiency, and robustness.
  • Support the definition of test plans and validation strategies for durability programs.
  • Mentor junior engineers and share best practices across the CAE community.
  • Stay updated on emerging CAE technologies and industry standards relevant to durability analysis.
