Buyer (Indirect Procurement)

Responsible for end-to-end sourcing and procurement activities for assigned commodity portfolios, ensuring cost competitiveness, supplier compliance, uninterrupted business operations, and achievement of procurement targets through strategic sourcing, supplier management, negotiation and contract administration.

 

KEY COMMODITY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Air and Sea Freight – Import & Export Shipments
2. Quality Laboratory Equipment
3. IT Hardware, Software and Related Services
4. Driver Manpower Contracts
5. Packaging Materials – Steel, Plastic, Corrugated and Wooden Packaging
6. Tax and Financial Consulting Services
      
Strategic Sourcing & Procurement
• Understand and analyze business requirements/RFQs received from user functions.
• Identify and develop potential suppliers.
• Float RFQs/RFPs and manage complete tendering activities.
• Obtain and evaluate techno-commercial offers.
• Lead commercial negotiations to achieve target costs.
• Conduct cost analysis, benchmarking and market evaluations.
• Drive sourcing decisions in alignment with user functions and TT/GP Management.
Supplier Management & Compliance
• Evaluate supplier capability, capacity and financial stability.
• Ensure compliance with Data Protection and Supplier Minimum Requirement Process
• Participate in supplier review and performance meetings.
• Support supplier risk mitigation and development initiatives.
Contract & Purchase Order Management
• Align commercial terms and conditions with suppliers and Legal where required.
• Release Purchase Orders and Purchase Contracts as per Process guidelines.
• Ensure order acceptance and execution by suppliers.
• Support contract renewals, amendments and claims management.
Cost Optimization & Category Management
• Achieve CNS (Commercial Negotiation Savings) and Price Deviation target
• Develop commodity strategies for assigned portfolios.
• Drive localization, value engineering and cost optimization initiatives.

Required QualificationsBachelor Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business Administration or related discipline or MBA.
Required Experience3–6 years of experience in Strategic Sourcing, Procurement or Supply Chain Management with exposure to logistics, IT procurement, lab equipment, packaging and manpower contracts.
Key Skills & CompetenciesStrategic Sourcing, Supplier Management, Commercial Negotiation, Contract Management, Cost Analysis, Risk Management, Stakeholder Management and Business Acumen.
Required QualificationsBachelor Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business Administration or related discipline or MBA.
