IT Delivery Manager

Your impact and responsibilities:

 

This role is an exciting opportunity within Daimler Truck Financial Services (DTFS) for a Delivery Manager with a passion to lead this pivotal role and provide exceptional planning and delivery of a program of projects across IT and the broader business. Based at our Head Office in Mulgrave, you will be the driver of all DTFS Australia IT related change and improvement projects. Leading and mentoring a small team with the goal of continually developing their IT delivery capability, you will strive to provide exceptional service and collaboration with all stakeholders. 

 

 

Reporting into the Chief information Officer, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Develop and maintain the IT roadmap, outlining key projects and activities required to meet specific targets
  • Allocating resources including budget, personnel, and equipment, across different projects within the IT program
  • Identifying and developing risk management strategies associated with the IT program
  • Guide the delivery team to generate regular reports and updates for stakeholders to provide visibility into IT project status and outcomes
  • Lead and manage a team of IT project managers, business analysts, testers, and other staff

  • Provide leadership and guidance to members both inside and out of your team on best practices, innovation and change management along with individual development plans

  • Communicate, status updates and key milestones to senior management in order to align stakeholder expectations with IT goals

  • Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the progress and success of IT projects

  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and innovation to drive ongoing improvement and optimization

  • Implement change control processes to ensure changes are documented, approved, and properly implemented

What we are looking for:

 

The successful candidate will be a proven and supportive people leader with extensive experience in senior IT Project and Program Management. A significant component of this role is leading, mentoring and developing a high-performing team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement. You will have demonstrated success in building team capability, driving engagement, managing performance and empowering individuals to achieve both personal and business objectives.

 

In addition, you will be responsible for managing multiple IT vendors and internal stakeholders, ensuring strategic initiatives are delivered on time, within budget and aligned to business priorities. Experience working in complex IT environments, together with strong project scheduling, resource management, planning and reporting skills, will be essential. Practical experience across both Waterfall and Agile delivery methodologies, supported by postgraduate qualifications in IT and/or Project Management, will be highly regarded.

 

Your ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels, build trusted relationships and unite diverse teams around a common objective will be critical. Most importantly, you will combine strong technical and project delivery expertise with exceptional leadership capabilities, creating an environment where people can thrive while delivering outstanding business outcomes.
