The Non-Mainly Manager will play a crucial role in driving supplier development and maintaining high-quality standards for Daimler India Commercial Vehicles. This position requires a dynamic and results-driven individual with a passion for continuous improvement and a strong understanding of the automotive industry. The manager will work closely with suppliers to enhance their performance, ensure compliance with quality standards, and drive innovation.
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance supplier performance and quality.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments of suppliers to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulations.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks and issues related to supplier quality.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and stakeholders.
- Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in supplier management and quality assurance.
- Mentor and develop team members, providing guidance and support for their professional growth.
- Prepare and present periodic reports on supplier development and quality initiatives to senior management.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 to 10 years of experience in supplier development and quality assurance, preferably in the automotive industry.
- Expertise in PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) and 8D problem-solving methodology.
- knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and practices will be added advantage
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools.
- Experience in working with diverse cultural teams and international suppliers.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally for supplier audits and meetings and work in shifts
- Fluency in English and Hindi, with the ability to communicate effectively in both languages.
