Non-Mainly Manager # Supplier Development & Preventive Supplier Quality – CIW, Bus, FBS & CS

The Non-Mainly Manager will play a crucial role in driving supplier development and maintaining high-quality standards for Daimler India Commercial Vehicles. This position requires a dynamic and results-driven individual with a passion for continuous improvement and a strong understanding of the automotive industry. The manager will work closely with suppliers to enhance their performance, ensure compliance with quality standards, and drive innovation.

  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance supplier performance and quality.
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments of suppliers to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulations.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks and issues related to supplier quality.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and stakeholders.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in supplier management and quality assurance.
  • Mentor and develop team members, providing guidance and support for their professional growth.
  • Prepare and present periodic reports on supplier development and quality initiatives to senior management.

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 to 10 years of experience in supplier development and quality assurance, preferably in the automotive industry.
  • Expertise in PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) and 8D problem-solving methodology.
  •  knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and practices will be added advantage
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools.
  • Experience in working with diverse cultural teams and international suppliers.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally for supplier audits and meetings and work in shifts 
  • Fluency in English and Hindi, with the ability to communicate effectively in both languages.
