Your impact and responsibilities:

 

Daimler Truck Financial Services has a new and exciting opportunity for a passionate Credit Operations Team Leader to join our company.  This role is based in Mulgrave at our corporate head office and will be responsible for the leadership of our Credit Analyst team, ensuring we get the best out of our systems, processes and people and meet and exceed the needs of our customers and dealer partners. This role will be key in supporting the success of this team, creating capabilities, expertise and a continuous learning mindset that will future proof Credit Operations for our business.

 

 

Reporting into the Credit Operations Manager, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Lead, coach and develop the Credit Analyst team, driving performance, accountability and capability uplift

  • Oversee workflow and capacity to ensure service levels and turnaround times are met

  • Assess and approve credit proposals within delegated authority, ensuring alignment with local and global credit policies

  • Lead and support the team in complex credit assessments, providing coaching and technical guidance to uplift decision quality and consistency

  • Support capability development within the team by sharing expertise, best practices and continuous learning in credit risk management

  • Negotiate credit outcomes with dealers and stakeholders to balance risk and commercial objectives

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with dealers, customers, external and internal stakeholders

  • Prepare and coordinate reporting on volumes, turnaround times and key risks.

Your own professional experience as a Credit Analyst, and some proven leadership experience, will give you the insights required to oversee workflow and ensure service levels are met, take the lead when coaching is provided and even start to consider how AI could shape credit operations into the future. As a point of escalation for complex credit matters, your sound guidance, technical credit experience and adherence to policies and compliance will ensure high quality outcomes. Overall, you will have excellent people skills, with the ability to negotiate credit outcomes, listen to customer feedback and support the growth of our business by building strong relationships across internal departments and external stakeholders. A great communicator, you will be able to bring people and processes together, helping us to build on our culture and ensure we continue to be a great place to build your career.

 

You will possess advanced skills with Microsoft Office. A qualification or commercial experience in banking or finance would be advantageous.
