We have an opportunity for a Logistics Coordinator waiting just for you. Reporting into the Logistics Operations and Development Manager. You will be responsible for the day-to-day monitoring of our parts logistics operation from a performance and customer delivery perspective. Main point of contact between the dealer network and 3PL partner(s) for Logistics operations. Responsible for monitoring and reporting instances of non-conformance to DTUK management and work proactively with the 3PL partner to rectify and prevent reoccurrence using root cause analysis and process improvement techniques. Manage and produce all periodic reports to allow DTUK to hold review meetings with the 3PL partner. Support the Logistics Operations Manager in all aspects of managing the UK market parts logistics center and Theft Relevant Parts (TRP) topics
More about the role
Take responsibility for scheduling and reconciliation of all inbound stock deliveries and facilitate resolutions for inbound transport issues whilst maintaining clear communication with our 3PL partners, central colleagues and external hauliers.
Organise returns shipments from the parts logistics centre to central locations and ensure all necessary accompanying customs and transport paperwork is completed accurately and on time. Support UK customs manager in tracking return shipments to completion.
Co-ordinate with dealers, contracted partners, and the network development team the requirements of TRP to ensure compliance with central DTAG TRP policy.
Support the Logistics Operations Manager (including deputising in their absence) in monitoring 3PL performance across all aspects of the parts logistics operation. Escalate issues to senior DTUK management as required.
Produce reports on SLA’s, KPI’s and 3PL output for DTUK management and finance. Use data to proactively suggest changes to improve operational performance and customer service.
Support, promote and facilitate communication between our dealer network, DTUK colleagues and 3PL partner using all available tools to promote collaboration and prevent reoccurrence of issues ensuring high level queries are escalated to DTUK management.
Manage and monitor the performance of the UK dealer network under the TRP policy. Review and amend the policy, as necessary, in conjunction with central and compliance colleagues.
About you
You will have an in-depth knowledge of warehousing and transport operations within a 3PL environment, who is confident in challenging the status quo and driving continuous improvement. You will have a strong understanding of Service Level Agreements and operational KPIs within a fast-paced logistics setting, alongside excellent reporting skills with the ability to develop new reports that highlight key issues and insights. Knowledge of Health and Safety, Lean methodologies, and dangerous goods management would be advantageous, as would an understanding of relevant compliance, legal, regulatory, and security requirements. Candidates should be proficient in Microsoft Office to at least an intermediate level, with a Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt and/or an NVQ in Warehousing or Logistics Management being desirable. A flexible approach to working hours is essential in order to meet the demands of the operation.
