We’re looking for an AI strategist who thrives at the intersection of development, delivery, and innovation — someone who can work directly inside our software engineering environment, understand challenges in real time, and deliver AI-driven solutions that boost productivity, quality, and velocity.

This role is embedded into our engineering organization — partnering with developers, architects, and product owners to deploy tools and models that optimize the dev lifecycle from concept to production.

This is a hands-on strategic role for someone who loves applying AI to real operational challenges and has the curiosity and drive to make technology meaningful in the field.

The Leadership Track Trainee Program offers you the opportunity to be part of a dynamic network of emerging leaders at Daimler Truck Innovation Center India.

You will engage in globally connected projects and cross-functional teams, gaining exposure to strategic decision-making and organizational leadership. This program is designed to help you grow your leadership capabilities through hands-on experience, mentorship from senior leaders, and targeted development programs. You’ll have the chance to shape impactful initiatives, drive change, and prepare for future leadership roles within the organization.

The 36 months Leadership Talent Track offers you the following aspects:

  • Onboarding within predefined home area

  • Opportunity to Shadow leaders

  • Gain insights into everyday work in our production facilities and get to know our customers

  • Participation in a virtual management qualification to take on a future management function

  • Build up an intercultural and social network

  • Get access to various training and development offers with a focus on customer centricity and our leadership culture 

  • Get support and guidance by your personal executive mentor 

  • During your traineeship you will go through various departments. Based on your individual expertise.

 

  • Partner with operational teams to apply AI where it adds the most value.

  • If Software: 

    • embed AI into development workflows — code review, bug prediction, backlog prioritization, CI/CD enhancements.

  • If Procurement: 

    • Deploy AI for supplier risk prediction, cost forecasting, supplier scoring, and contract optimization.

  • Translate challenges into actionable AI projects with clear ROI.

  • Run rapid pilot projects to validate AI concepts before scaling them across multiple sites.

  • Bridge technical teams and operations stakeholders, ensuring AI models are not only technically sound but operationally effective

  • Pilot, refine, and scale AI solutions across global operations.

  • Champion adoption and train teams to use AI tools effectively. 

  • Develop predictive solutions to anticipate bottlenecks and integration conflicts before they occur.

Education Qualification & Experience: 

  • Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent.

  • Strong experience with Machine Learning, Data Engineering, and AI Implementation

  • Skilled with AI/ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch) and industrial data platforms

  • Proven track record of turning concepts into production-ready AI systems

  • Total experience should be preferably 10 years as on 31st December 2025

Personal Attributes

  • Exceptional communication skills to engage both technical and non-technical audiences
