Your impact and responsibilities:

 

Daimler Truck Financial Services has a new opportunity for a driven and technically minded Data Warehouse and Reporting Analyst. Based at our Head Office in Mulgrave, and in a critical role within the Information Technology (IT) team, you will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of data engineering, reporting, and analytics services across Daimler Truck Financial Services Australia (DTFSAu). This role maintains and evolves the organisation's data platform, spanning cloud-based data warehousing, data pipelines, and business intelligence reporting, to support operational and strategic decision-making.  As a technical authority within the IT team for all data and reporting functions within DTFSAu, you will work closely with local and global stakeholders to gather requirements, design solutions, and deliver high-quality data products, while ensuring platform reliability, security, and compliance with DTFSAu standards. This is an exciting opportunity to build and create something new and innovative, working alongside a team on the cusp of delivering a complex and globally recognised project that will lead the way in Financial Services for DTFSAu.

 

 

Reporting into the Chief Information Officer, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Azure-based data infrastructure, pipelines, and warehouse management

  • Power BI report and dashboard design, development, and governance

  • Data migration execution and validation (including the Alfa system migration)

  • Microsoft Fabric adoption and modern analytics platform evolution

  • Stakeholder engagement and requirements elicitation across business units, translating business requirements into technical specifications

What we are looking for:

 

The successful candidate will have a passion for new technology, specifically Microsoft Fabric and possess a genuine interest in rendering data into reporting relevant to our commercial vehicle finance business.  Your attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills and an undisputable ability to build and manage stakeholder relationships to design, develop and deliver solutions will ensure a collaborative approach to success in this role. 

 

With your well-developed analytical and technical skills, you will have the ability to work through multiple complex project concurrently, be self-directed in your approach to tasks and have strong organisational skills.

Technically savvy, you will have experience in designing, developing, and implementing reports, dashboards, and data extracts, supporting and administering data warehouse implementations in cloud and hybrid environments and developing trusted relationships with your stakeholders.

 

Most of all the successful candidate will have a drive and passion to develop their understanding of Microsoft Fabric, combined with your advanced knowledge of Power BI, T-SQL programming, Azure SQL and Azure Data Factory. Naturally, you will also have a solid understanding of IT processes, data security, and the software development lifecycle. Familiarity with Alfa systems or similar Finance or Leasing platforms will be an advantage, as is experience within a financial services organisaton.

 

A qualification or commercial practice in Data Science or IT would be advantageous, or professional experience in data warehousing and reporting, along with an understanding of the Finance, Heavy Commercial Vehicle or Automotive market.
