Sensor & Actuator BTV responsibility

 

 

 

Job Description:

  • Defining component requirement specification for both the Hardware & Dataset for Powertrain Sensors & Actuators.
  • Identify, evaluate, develop and work with suppliers to fulfill functional & durability requirements.
  • Perform technology and supplier landscaping in the sensors area.
  • Define and develop project plan and drive towards meeting the milestones.
  • Cross-functional engagement with Project stake holders (Module teams, Quality, Supplier management, Project Team, Aftermarket, Purchase, Plant operations, Vehicle Testing Team etc.)
  • Calibration, measurement test data analysis & corrective action. 
  • Create test setup to validate hardware and software functionality.
  • Validate the performance & quality of sensor using CANAPE.
  •  Field failure analysis & countermeasure definition.
  • Evaluate system and design FMEA, design mock-ups (DFA, DFS, Interface study etc.)
  • Responsible for release of parts to production and field quality analysis.
  • Initiation to Implementation of change request based on Value Engineering, Quality improvement, Alternate Part Sourcing & New Technology.
  • Process documentation as per standard requirement.
  • Availability for travel to Germany, US & other countries if necessary.
  • Flexibility to work as per US work timings

Skill Requirement:

  • 2-3 years of experience working on Powertrain Sensors & HW components.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Instrumentation/ Automobile/ Mechatronics/ Electrical/ Mechanical is preferred.
  • System Understanding of Powertrain Domain such as Engine, After-treatment, Transmission etc.
  • Deep Understanding of System & SW Requirements, Control Strategy for Automotive Sensors.
  • Experience in Calibration, Dataset understanding and measurement data analysis.
  • Experience in Release processes for HW and SW Components & tool chain for the same (CANAPE/MATLAB/SIMULINK) 
  • Having knowledge of NX, SMARAGD/Platon or equivalent PLM tools is an added advantage
  • Good Hands-on knowledge of Automotive standards and protocols
  • Working knowledge of Design principles (DFMEA, FTA etc.)
  • Good knowledge and experience in HW and SW Development cycles.
  • International/intercultural work experience desirable.
