As a working student in the Product Sustainability Strategy department, you will play a crucial role in shaping Daimler Truck AG's product circular economy strategy. Your primary task will be to develop and implement a robust metric system that accurately measures and reports on the circularity of our products. WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
- Research and analyze existing circular economy metrics and best practices in the industry
- Design and develop a comprehensive metric system tailored to Daimler Truck AG's products and goals
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and ensure alignment with business objectives
- Implement the metric system, including data collection, analysis, and reporting processes
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of the metric system, identifying areas for improvement and optimization
- Prepare regular reports and presentations to communicate circularity performance to stakeholders
- Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in circular economy practices and technologies
- Support the development of circular economy initiatives and strategies within the organization
- Engage with external partners, suppliers, and industry experts to gather insights and best practices
- Assist in identifying opportunities for product redesign, recycling, and reuse to enhance circularity

- Enrolled in a relevant field of study, such as sustainability, environmental science, engineering, or business
- Strong interest and passion for sustainability and circular economy principles
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and draw insights
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and software, such as Excel, SQL, or statistical analysis packages
- Good knowledge of sustainability metrics and reporting frameworks is preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Familiarity with product lifecycle management and design for sustainability is an advantage
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and industry trends
- Fluency in English is required; knowledge of German is a plus
