Daimler Truck AG seeks a working student to join the Product Sustainability Strategy department and contribute to our circular economy strategy. The role focuses on developing and implementing metrics to assess and report on product circularity, driving sustainable practices.

As a working student in the Product Sustainability Strategy department, you will play a crucial role in shaping Daimler Truck AG's product circular economy strategy. Your primary task will be to develop and implement a robust metric system that accurately measures and reports on the circularity of our products. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to sustainable practices and drive positive environmental impact.

 

 

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

  • Research and analyze existing circular economy metrics and best practices in the industry
  • Design and develop a comprehensive metric system tailored to Daimler Truck AG's products and goals
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and ensure alignment with business objectives
  • Implement the metric system, including data collection, analysis, and reporting processes
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of the metric system, identifying areas for improvement and optimization
  • Prepare regular reports and presentations to communicate circularity performance to stakeholders
  • Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in circular economy practices and technologies
  • Support the development of circular economy initiatives and strategies within the organization
  • Engage with external partners, suppliers, and industry experts to gather insights and best practices
  • Assist in identifying opportunities for product redesign, recycling, and reuse to enhance circularity

  • Enrolled in a relevant field of study, such as sustainability, environmental science, engineering, or business
  • Strong interest and passion for sustainability and circular economy principles
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and draw insights
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and software, such as Excel, SQL, or statistical analysis packages
  • Good knowledge of sustainability metrics and reporting frameworks is preferred
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Familiarity with product lifecycle management and design for sustainability is an advantage
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and industry trends
  • Fluency in English is required; knowledge of German is a plus
