- Carry out numerical optimization and Design of Experiments (DoE) analyses to assess aerodynamic performance for both components and complete vehicles.
- Conduct advanced aerodynamic and thermal CFD simulations on full vehicle systems as well as subsystem models.
- Evaluate and interpret simulation data; determine how aerodynamic and thermal factors impact individual components and overall vehicle functionality.
- Recommend design improvements and countermeasures to boost product performance.
- Create and apply new CFD methodologies to promote digital transformation and minimize reliance on physical tests.
- Align simulation outcomes with experimental and on-vehicle test data to ensure ongoing model validation and refinement.
- Work closely with technical teams around the world and collaborate with external partners.
- Adhere to all relevant guidelines, organizational standards, and regulations, and oversee project schedules for assigned responsibilities.
- Consistently communicate project progress to team members and stakeholders through email, chat platforms, and review meetings.
- Seek ways to enhance innovation, automation, and performance within everyday CFD tasks.
- Exhibit strong skills in project management and planning that support broader program objectives.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Master’s or PhD (preferred) in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Automobile Engineering
- 8–12 years of industry experience in CFD, aerodynamics, or thermal simulations
- Strong background in fluid dynamics, aerodynamics, and heat transfer
- Expertise in commercial CFD solvers (preferably STAR‑CCM+)
- Experience correlating vehicle test data with CFD results, identifying discrepancies, and improving models
- Effective communicator of technical information to various stakeholders
- Proven ability to develop new methods, tools, or processes in CFD
- Strong analytical skills for translating results into actionable design recommendations
