As a Field Technical Services DICV professional, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and performance of Daimler India Commercial Vehicles. Your expertise in automotive commercial vehicle systems will be leveraged to address field quality concerns and provide technical support. - Steer and support Field Quality team for Truck and Bus aggregates, including HDT, MDT, and Buses.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance on automotive commercial vehicle systems, including suspension, pneumatic brakes, steering, and front axles.
- Address field quality concerns and collaborate with relevant teams to implement effective solutions.
- Conduct root cause analysis for field failures and develop preventive measures.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technological advancements in commercial vehicle systems.
- Collaborate with R&D, Engineering, Quality Management and Manufacturing teams to improve product quality and performance.
- Document and report field quality issues, providing regular updates to stakeholders.
- Train and mentor field technicians on best practices and new technologies.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards and regulations in the commercial vehicle industry.
- Represent Daimler India at industry events and conferences, showcasing our commitment to quality.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in the automotive industry, with a focus on commercial vehicles.
- Expertise in commercial vehicle systems, particularly suspension, brakes, steering, and front axles.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to conduct root cause analysis.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in using relevant software and tools for data analysis and reporting.
- Willingness to travel as required for field support and industry events.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high quality standards.
