Job Overview 

To support and guide the Commercial Vehicle Plant users with maintenance, development and operations of all IT requirements. To ensure the implementation of digital solutions with regards to maintenance and enhancements of relevant applications in order to support best user and customer experience. To coordinate all IT involvement in Commercial Vehicle Plant projects, ensuring timely delivery of the IT Requirements.  All tasks to be done in compliance to the Company's Integrity & Anti Bribery Codes, Conflict of Interest Policy & S.H.E. requirements Delegation of Authority and organisational processes.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities: 

Software & Application Support 

  • Software & Application Support: To ensure all the commercial vehicle plant software requirements are understood and upgrades processed as required. Support the day-to-day functioning of systems through the support of the suppliers contracted to ensure application operations.

Hardware/Infrastructure Support

  • Hardware/Infrastructure Support: To ensure all production hardware is maintained, operational and upgraded in line with the requirements. This includes online hardware that supports the day-to-day production process, ensure no down time on the production line.

Contractor Management 

  • Contractor Management: To support the BA & Projects Team leader in the effective management of all suppliers and contractors responsible for providing an IT support to the Commercial Vehicle plant. 

Digital Innovation and Process Development 

  • Digital Innovation and Process Development: To support the commercial vehicle plant users to enhance the current systems and implement digital solutions to improve the efficiency of the production processes. To co-ordinate all implementations with the business users and the DTSA IT department to ensure solutions that are integrated across the DTSA landscape.

Key Stakeholder Interactions

  • DTSA Management (Monthly): Co-ordinate business projects.
  • Commercial Vehicle Plant Management (Weekly): Co-ordinate business support requirements.
  • Business Analyst (Daily): Lead the team in achieving relevant outputs.
  • IT Contractors & Suppliers (Weekly): Manage the contractor outputs according to SLA's.
  • Commercial Vehicle Plant Users (Daily): Support projects, maintenance and enhancements.
  • Direct Manager (Daily): Communication of maintenance, enhancements & projects.

  • Experience supporting a complex, integrated production environment.
  • Experience working with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Computer literacy (Proficient in MS Excel, Word and Power Point).

Preferred skills:

  • Strong business acumen and communication skills.
  • Technical IT Knowledge.
  • Automotive business- and systems processes.
  • Knowledge of DTSA applications and IT landscape will be advantageous.
