Regional Sales Manager

As the Regional Sales Manager, you will be a key player in our Bus department's growth and success. Your primary focus will be on devising and implementing effective sales strategies to enhance our market presence and maximize sales opportunities. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with General Distributors and Bus and Coach Body Builders, fostering strong partnerships and driving sales performance across the allocated markets.

 

Overview of Main Tasks:

  • Define annual target agreements for GDs (quantitative and qualitative) with continuous performance monitoring of achievements
  • Strategic co-ordination of sales/enquiry management per market with won/lost sales
  • Supporting role of day-to-day GD / Bus Body Builder business whilst coaching of GD sales personnel
  • Development of marketing plans in co-ordination with Marketing colleagues with proper follow up and implementation of material/actions/events
  • Configuring customer specific bus variants, managing the price approval / offer and order process.
  • Exploration of new niches to maximize sales volume within markets
  • Regular market & customer visits within allocated markets 
  • Constant co-ordination with CSP teams to align/further drive revenues, per market
  • Monitoring of Distributor Retail Standards in co-ordination with Network Development
  • Safeguard compliance measures implemented
  • Operational Planning (OP) for quantities and qualitative aspects, per market
  • Monthly Kufri planning and reporting by volume and pricing targets, per market
  • Co-ordination with regional Order/Logistics Centres for timely shipping

Qualification & Education

  • Graduate Degree in Business Engineering, Business Administration and/or equivalent qualification

Required Experience:

  • Bus & Coach (all segments), /Wholesale Sales, Retail & Marketing experience for min. 3+ years. Having experience in MEA markets would be a plus.
  • Experience of Governmental and Private sector bus & coach tenders is a must, specifically working with Body Builder partners and General Distributors in a partnership

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Extensive knowledge of the Bus Chassis, Bus & Coach Body Builder business model and Bus Customer segmentation.
  • Detailed technical understanding of Bus & Coach Chassis’ and downstream services (Euro 3 to 6 products)
  • Experience of the Daimler Buses One Invoice Business process (OIB Model)
  • Highly developed Negotiation and Communication skills
  • Entrepreneurial thinking/behavior

Language:

  • Fluency in English, French and Portuguese is a must
  • German and Arabic are beneficial

Qualification & Education
