Warranty Administrator

The role:

An exciting opportunity is available for an organised, proactive and customer focused individual to support our Daimler Truck head office warranty department. In this role, you will provide key warranty administrative support to dealers, Field Service Managers and other internal stakeholders to ensure the smooth running of the Warranty team. This role is responsible for managing the end‑to‑end warranty claims process, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely submissions. You will provide technical assessment of claims, support dealers with guidance and training, maintain data integrity across warranty systems, and contribute to continuous improvement through reporting, monitoring, and stakeholder communication.

 

Reporting to the Manager, Warranty and Campaigns, your key responsibilities will include:

 

  • Administer and process warranty claims against targets and guidelines including submissions and appeals to the factory

  • Assessing and making decisions on claims to ensure technical plausibility and validity as well as fairness to all stakeholders

  • Administer Warranty Claim variations including resubmissions and provision of supporting evidence to factory when required

  • Provide assistance, training and support for dealer Warranty Administrators to enable correct and timely Warranty Claims submission and payment

  • Monitoring and provide feedback to the team of claim quality and volume from each Dealer

  • Maintenance of VIN data in relevant Warranty Systems

  • Ensure dealer payments are correct, and claims are submitted to DTAuP

  • Create relevant warranty reports as required

  • Addressing and escalating system‑related questions as needed

About You:

As the successful candidate, you will be an enthusiastic self-starter with a genuine desire to support our dealer network whilst educating on dealer warranty processes and maintaining the integrity of your role. Your strong verbal and written communication skills, complimented by effective conflict resolution, relationship management, negotiation and problem solving will be essential to your success in this role.

Ideally you will have some knowledge of the commercial vehicle industry, particularly in a parts, service or a technical capacity, and have experience with heavy commercial vehicles- however applicants from a broader background will also be considered.
