To lead and manage engine durability testing activities, ensuring long-term performance, reliability, and compliance with regulatory standards. The role involves planning, supervising test execution, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring accurate data collection and reporting.
Key responsibilities
Lead and manage engine durability testing activities including dynamometer and load tests.
Develop and execute test plans aligned with project and regulatory requirements.
Ensure proper calibration and upkeep of test equipment and facilities.
Analyse test data to identify trends, failures, and improvement opportunities.
Document procedures, results, and corrective actions.
Monitor test progress using tools such as AVL PUMA, and AVI test equipment.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams for product validation and improvement.
Train and mentor technicians and junior engineers.
Ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards.
Troubleshoot testing issues and implement timely solutions.
Present findings and reports to stakeholders.
Preferred Skills
Experience with engine test cells and dynamometer systems.
Test Tools: AVL PUMA, IASYS, AVI, INCA
Engine Systems: CRDI, Turbocharged engines, After-treatment systems
Software: Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Strong analytical, documentation, and team coordination skills
Diploma degree in Mechanical or Automotive.
5+ years of experience in engine testing or related roles.
Strong knowledge of internal combustion engines and testing methodologies.
Proficiency in data acquisition and analysis tools.
Excellent leadership and communication skills.
Familiarity with ISO, SAE, and other industry standards.
