IT Team Leader – Business Applications and Project Delivery

Job Overview 

The Information Technology Team Leader – Business Applications and Digital Delivery is responsible for leading an internal information technology team and working closely with business stakeholders to ensure the stable operation, continuous improvement, and modernisation of enterprise business applications.

The role provides day-to-day leadership, delivery coordination, and supplier oversight, while acting as a key interface between local business teams and global information technology organisations. A key focus is supporting the introduction and adoption of standard enterprise platforms provided by global technology partners in compliance to the Company's Integrity, Anti Bribery Codes, Conflict of Interest Policy, Safety, Health, Environment, Risk and Quality requirements and to perform delegated SHERQ tasks and duties & to inform superior about deviations.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Team Leadership and People Management: Lead, coach, and develop an internal information technology team responsible for business application support and delivery. Allocate work, set priorities, and monitor performance to ensure effective and timely outcomes. Foster a collaborative, accountable, and continuous-improvement culture.
  • Business and Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with business stakeholders across sales, marketing, production, and corporate functions. Translate business requirements into clear and achievable technology delivery plans.
  • Supplier and Contractor Management: Manage third-party suppliers and contractors in line with agreed service level agreements. Coordinate supplier activities supporting application support, system enhancements, and project delivery.
  • Project and Delivery Coordination: Coordinate information technology delivery for business projects, system enhancements, and product launches. Ensure solutions are delivered on time and provide a positive user and customer experience.
  • Global Platforms and Standardisation: Support the rollout of standard enterprise applications, including enterprise resource planning platforms and collaboration and productivity platforms used for communication, document management, and workflow automation.
  • Technology and Continuous Improvement: Drive the use of modern workplace and application technologies, including collaboration platforms, low-code automation tools, reporting and analytics platforms, and application development and integration technologies.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ proven experience in leading Information Technology teams and managing external suppliers and service providers.

Special Knowledge:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and general IT systems.
  • Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, systems, and service delivery.
  • Good business acumen with the ability to align IT solutions to business needs.
  • Knowledge of vendor and supplier management within an IT environment.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
