- Product Strategy
- Conduct competitor benchmarking and positioning analysis.
- Identify market gaps, whitespace opportunities, and future trends in the bus industry.
- Market & Customer Insights
- Gather Voice of Customer (VoC) inputs through field visits, dealer interactions, and customer feedback.
- Analyze customer pain points and convert them into product feature enhancements.
- Support sales team with technical product positioning and differentiation strategy.
- Product Development & Lifecycle Management
- Work with R&D and Engineering teams for new feature introduction and product improvements
- Manage end-to-end product lifecycle: concept → development → launch → sustenance → phase-out.
- Ensure timely implementation of regulatory changes and compliance requirements
- Business Case & Financial Management:
- Prepare business cases for new features, variants, and upgrades
- Conduct TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) analysis to strengthen value proposition
- Monitor product profitability, cost optimization, and margin improvement initiatives.
- Go-to-Market (GTM) & Launch Management
- Plan and execute new product/variant launches.
- Develop product training materials for sales and dealer teams.
- Support marketing campaigns with technical inputs and competitive highlights.
- Performance Monitoring
- Track product KPIs including sales performance, market share, pricing realization, and customer satisfaction.
- Identify corrective actions based on performance gaps.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical/Electrical / Automobile) preferred.
- MBA (Marketing / Operations / Strategy) preferred.
- 3–5 years of experience in Product Management / Business Analysis / Strategy in Automotive or Commercial Vehicle OEM.
- Strong understanding of bus segment (HDB, LPO, intercity, school buses etc.).
- Experience in competitor benchmarking and pricing strategy.
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint; knowledge of Power BI tools is an added advantage.
