Senior IT Application Manager (L5)

We are looking for a Senior IT Application Manager to lead and support key regional IT applications for the Local IT team in Singapore, with a strong focus on parts sales, logistics, and After-Sales systems. You will be responsible for ensuring smooth operations, driving enhancements, supporting global application rollouts, and enabling digital transformation across markets. This role plays a vital part in advancing data and analytics capabilities through the Microsoft ecosystem and ensuring alignment with global technology standards. 

 

You will work closely with business stakeholders, vendors, and global IT teams to deliver high-quality services, improve business processes, and maintain secure and stable systems that support our vision of Simpler, Faster, Stronger.

 

You will be responsible for:

 

1. Project Management & Analytics Support

  • Lead and deliver IT and cross-functional projects from planning to implementation.
  • Coordinate global IT initiatives locally and ensure timely, cost-effective delivery.
  • Provide project updates to management and key stakeholders.
  • Support data governance initiatives and contribute to expanding internal Business Analytics capabilities.

 

2. Demand Management

  • Manage end-to-end business and system requirements across multiple functions.
  • Facilitate discussions with business users to understand needs and translate them into Business Requirement Documents (BRDs).
  • Contribute to solution design and ensure alignment with the target IT landscape.
  • Provide system and process training for key users and end users when needed.

 

3. Service Delivery

  • Advise users on system features, processes, and upcoming releases.
  • Manage system configurations and ensure they fit business requirements.
  • Oversee release management, including UAT planning, testing, deployment, and documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with IT methodologies and quality standards.

 

4. Service Operations

  • Oversee daily operations including 1st-level support and incident management.
  • Coordinate with vendors and higher-level support teams for issue resolution.
  • Ensure service level agreements (SLAs) are met and lead monthly incident reviews.
  • Ensure compliance with audit requirements and process controls.

 

5. General IT Operations & Governance

  • Support overall IT governance, cost management initiatives, and operational planning.
  • Ensure compliance with IT guidelines, security policies, and risk controls.
  • Drive continuous improvement activities within the IT team.
  • Manage local IT vendors and contribute to Business Continuity Planning (BCP) and disaster recovery readiness.

 

And any other suitable tasks assigned.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Strong knowledge on Unix, Autoline, SAP (required), and related technologies.
  • Understanding of After-Sales processes and system integrations.
  • Preferably exposure in IT project management is an advantage.
  • At least 8 years of IT application management experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience in business / system process consulting within the automotive industry (required).
  • Strong understanding of IT service management and business processes.
  • Experience working in multinational, multicultural environments and/or in a matrix organisation
  • Excellent communication skills in written & verbal. 
  • Strong planning, organization, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Self-managed, proactive, and able to work independently.
  • General supervisory or team coordination experience is beneficial.

 

 

This position is based in location Singapore and may be offered at a lower job level based on candidate’s experience. A valid and approved work visa is required for employment in Singapore in accordance to local labour law regulations. 

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, Computer Science, or related field.
