Job Overview 

The effective and efficient management of the refurbishment process in TS and limiting of financial risk.   This should be in line with key strategic deliverables as defined by DTSA and also aligned to established sales targets and objectives in compliance to the Company's Integrity & Anti Bribery Codes, Conflict of Interest Policy & S.H.E. requirements and to perform delegated S.H.E. tasks and duties & to inform superior about deviations.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities: 

General Administration: Ensure all information and documentation is captured and filed according to TruckStore procedure.  Ensure DOA (Delegation of Authority) is adhered to at all times.  Ensure information, where applicable, is shared with all relevant shareholders in a timeous manner and according to KPI. Keep an accurate record and storage system.  Ensure all information between customer/supplier and TruckStore is produced in an efficient and compliant manner. To ensure effective sales processes and communication in order to expedite timeous resolution of any enquiries. Monitor and administrate PR approvals including verification.

Customer Care:  Ensure all interaction with customers/suppliers (internal and external) are conducted professionally and enquiries and complaints are dealt with promptly and efficiently.  Ensure the implementation and monitoring of all control systems according to Truckstore procedures.

Operational Management: Manage operations, continuous improvement of systems and processes to ensure TruckStore standards and further improve used commercial vehicle business results via reduction of refurb costs according to the provisions and DOA.

Quality Assurance: Interact and support cross-functional processes for materials and services and support group operations through ensuring an uninterrupted flow of non-production materials and services.

Integrity & Compliance:  Commit to a culture of integrity with particular consideration to compliance. Promote and support integrity including rewarding and disclosing compliance achievement or misconduct in an appropriate manner.  Implementation and promotion of efficient and effective internal compliance controls, including regular assessments and risk mitigating measures to avoid non-compliance. Complete and arrange training requirements on time when required.

People Management:  To set clear KPI's and conduct staff performance appraisals and ensure KPI's are met.  Take appropriate action based on required output.  Identify training needs, initiate suitable training in conjunction with DTSA standards.  Conduct regular staff meetings with team to improve motivation and communication.  Effectively manage daily activities according to KPI's. Support with escalation topics.

Matric/Grade 12 plus 3-year relevant qualification (Degree in Purchasing) (B Com/B-Tech) or equivalent.

Experience: 

3 to 5 years' experience in a specialised field (Purchasing/Supply Chain /Project Management/ Logistics/ Technical/Mechanical). 

Special Knowledge:

  • Computer literacy (MS Office, thinkcell).
  • Procurement/Operations /Technical/Mechanical knowledge.
  • Excellent communication skills. 
  • Admin staff management.
