Materials Planning and Control Supervisor II

Inside the Role

Responsible for planning, organizing, and executing all material related activities required to support production changeovers and releases. This role ensures that the correct materials, components, and documentation are staged, verified, and ready before each production run. Acting as a key link between production, logistics, warehousing, procurement; minimizes downtime, prevents material shortages, and maintains accuracy throughout the changeover process. The supervisor analyzes capacity, monitors inventory levels, resolves bottlenecks, and leads a team responsible for daily scheduling and release functions. Success in this role requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Position offers a starting salary range of $104,000 - $133,000 USD 

Pay offered dependent on knowledge, skills, and experience.

What You Drive at DTNA

  • Develop release process for materials readiness, expand on current PFEP report and ensure that materials delivery is optimized for production support.

  • Develop, maintain, and optimize daily, weekly, and long-range production schedules.

  • Coordinate material availability, capacity constraints, and labor resources to create realistic and efficient plans.

  • Monitor schedule adherence and adjust plans proactively to address disruptions or changes in demand.

  • Work with Logistics / Production to manage and reduce part shortages

  • Continuous Improvement of SQDCME (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Morale, Environmental) including employees skills and performance

Knowledge You Should Bring

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college/university and 6+ years of related experience OR Associate's Degree with 8+ years of experience OR High School Diploma with 10+ years of experience required

  • An attached resume is required

  • Working knowledge of Inventory Management, Warehouse Management, Quality Management and Material Management modules of SAP required

  • Strong understanding of standard inventory and logistics principles required

  • 1+ year of group leader, project lead or mentoring experience required

Exceptional Candidates Might Have

  • A degree focus in Business, Engineering or Finance is preferred

  • Skilled in root cause analysis preferred

  • Must be able to analyze and solve complex inventory issues, under production conditions preferred
