Section Head - Frame Production & MDT Chassis

To Formulate & implement systems, procedures and processes for management of assigned shops. Adapt structured approach in setting up of production units for successful tryout & Series production. Inspire, Motivate and Lead the team to achieve Bench mark results in terms of Production & Quality. Adhere and sustain the effective Quality systems to produce consistent quality output of vehicles and Coaching and mentoring of Subordinates for Capability enhancement.

 

                        Assembly Shop & EOL Setup

  • Plan and facilitate timely recruitment of approved manpower. 
  • Ensure readiness in terms of manpower, process, material, and equipment for tryout and SOP. 
  • Formulate and implement systems and procedures for shop operations. 
  • Finalize organization structure and define roles & responsibilities. 
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering (ME) to achieve project timelines.

    Quality Control Systems

  • Define quality targets and control systems for assembly shop & EOL. 
  • Finalize quality control tools such as build sheets, check sheets, and travel cards,
  • Implement PFMEA and control plan approach for critical processes. 
  • Develop procedures for rework, rejection handling, and market feedback actions.

                     

                        Production Systems Implementation

  • Participate in developing and implementing DICV shop floor management systems. 
  • Ensure compliance with DICV standards for production systems in assembly shop & EOL. 
  • Implement PLS and TOS methodologies effectively.

                       Achieving Production Targets

  • Achieve production targets during trials, SOP, and series production.
  • Establish KPAs for assembly shop & EOL and build systems for consistent achievement.

  • Benchmark performance parameters with Daimler assembly shops globally.

  • Coordinate with ME, Projects, NPM, Logistics, FM, QM, and Supply Chain for seamless operations.

  • Lead by example and create a culture of collaboration and learning.

  • Challenge and develop team members for top performance.

  • Identify skill gaps and organize training programs.

  •  Align subordinates toward departmental goals through mentoring and coaching.

  • Set defined goals, monitor progress, and encourage decision-making.

  •  Motivate teams by fostering innovation and collaboration.
