Your impact and responsibilities:

 

Daimler Truck Financial Services (DTFSAu) has an exciting new 12 month opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated Information Technology Intern to join our team. This position will give you insights into the broader IT team and will introduce you to real work experiences while starting your IT career within the Financial Services industry. In this intern position, you will assist the IT Service Operations Manager to support the end-to-end production and non-production environments for Australia and New Zealand.

 

 

Reporting into the Service Operations Manager, your key responsibilities will include:

 

  • Supporting Financial Services Applications (Level 1) 

  • Resolving Incidents, problems and requests 

  • Assisting DTFS Internal staff with general IT topics 

  • Supporting the production and development environments 

  • Assisting with development and project activities 

  • Complying with Daimler Security and Compliance requirements  

  • Assisting with management of BAU Vendors

What we are looking for:

As the successful candidate, you will possess a passion for learning and a genuine interest in developing your career in the Information Technology pathway. Your prior or current education in an IT degree will set you up for success as you begin your professional career and develop the skills required in this field. Previous customer service experience is an advantage. Basic problem solving and trouble-shooting skills will act as a good foundation for your further learning and development. A self-starter with a collaborative approach, your willingness to learn and participate in a team-oriented culture, balanced with managing independent work, will be critical. An eye for detail combined with a keen interest in our industry will set your application apart. 

 

 

You will possess good skills with Microsoft Office and be willing to learn new software packages. Basic understanding of ITIL, IT infrastructure, IT security topics, technologies associated to web, database and application servers, SaaS architecture and APIs would be a distinct advantage.

 A qualification or IT similar would be advantageous. This role would also suit a student who is currently undergoing tertiary study, but is available to work full time hours, Monday to Friday.
