Job Responsibilities
Project management Support:
- Project Management of Powertrain portfolio which includes co-ordination with all functions such as R&D, Marketing, Procurement and Manufacturing engineering, etc., to track, assess & report on status of the project and to ensure overall project targets
- Steering & tracking of project through Master plan and defined deliverables, keeping time-, quality- and cost targets
- Proactively coordinate, moderate and drive finding of solutions and counter measures wherever time-, quality- or cost-targets are endangered
- Schedule recurring project meetings with clear agenda for respective programs, keep minutes of meeting and ensure follow up and execution of decisions taken and tasks defined
- Compilation of Project documentations (e.g. quality gates)
- Project reporting dashboards for Top-Management Committees such as A-PC (Asia – Product Committee), CTM (Core Team Meeting), ExCom (Executive Committee), DICV Product Review.
- Project metrics tracking; e.g. Cost status tracking (Target vs. EA; budget)
- Support in ensuring cost & localization targets for respective base types for SoP & Post Localization years
- Set up and implement Reporting guidelines in project related teams such as CTM, EVI (Entire Vehicle Integration), System Teams, etc.
- Reporting of project status to Top Management through regular (weekly, biweekly, monthly) status report
- Implement and continuously improve project management tracker (Management Cockpit)
- Support and co-ordinate System Teams from holistic project point of view to keep project targets and drive implementation of project decisions and cost reduction measures
- Support for Project risks management, issues identification & resolution. Coordinate solution for open issues with all stake holders and their senior management, to ensure that open items are closed within required time frame
- Conduct Task Force meetings for key project deliverables; Adhoc assignments out of projects and management decisions
Entire Vehicle Management Support:
- Schedule recurring EVM meetings with clear agenda for respective programs
- Conduct Aggregate review meetings periodically and track agreed milestones & propose fall back solutions in case of delay
- Agree on key milestones based on Project Quality Gates (Spec release/Drawing Release/LoI date/ samples availability, etc.)
- Escalate open issues / major decisions in case of proto strategy (MoQ, Tooling strategy etc.) to Project Managenent Team
- Coordinate solution for open issues with all stake holders and ensure that open items are closed within acceptable time frame
- Drive implementation of cost reduction measures
- Monitor cost & localization targets for respective System Teams (ST’s) @ Proto build, SOP & Post Localization
- Monitor development of parts within given project targets of cost and time
- Manage parts availability by ensuring alignment of System Teams and functions like R&D, Marketing, Product planning, Finance & controlling, Procurement and Manufacturing engineering
- Participate in assigned System Teams and ensure interfaces between different ST’s, program direction and timelines are met, if necessary manage technical and time wise interfaces between ST’s and respective impacts on the overall project and escalate if required
- Coordinate, establish & track parts Bottom up Plan for all parts / systems / sub systems based on specifications availability / estimated lead time from procurement / test plan
- Evolve fallback options for parts that are not meeting timeline and ensure that the Project Quality Gates are met
- Lead and Co-ordinate Engineering BoM alignment with all System Teams
- Ensure the entire BoM is assigned to respective buyers / R&D engineers for development
- Identify the parts that are not covered in any of the System Team’s and ensure leftover parts are assigned to respective ST lead through Procurement and final E-BoM sign-off
- Coordinate change management activities and updates in Bill of Material for each Proto build
Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering or related disciplines; Additional qualification in Business Administration is preferable but not mandatory.
