Engineer – QA PDI

Responsible for conducting final quality checks on billed vehicles before dispatch, ensuring compliance with standards, addressing defects, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and preparing key quality reports. The role ensures vehicles are customer-ready and supports issue resolution for field and campaign-related concerns.

 

  • Conduct DWM & fix abnormality as per BharatBenz way
  • Ensure Safety, 5S, SWI & JES compliant working condition related to inspection operations.
  • Planning and deploying of required workforce of operations.
  • Conduct CFT meeting & fix root cause for PDI issues.

  • Conduct Red table meeting to address part level quality issues.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and drive project success.
  • Motivate team members to participate in internal & external competitions
  • Manage industrial relations topics to ensure smooth line operations and quality compliance.
  • Motivate team for generating cost saving ideas
  • Maintaining and revising the skill matrix of team members on a regular basis.
  • Modify inspection checkpoints based on updated series production requirements under change management.
  • Track billing vehicle PDI (Pre-Delivery Inspection) status in coordination with the OBL (Outbound Logistics) team to ensure timely inspection and dispatch
  • Prepare dispatch plans for billed vehicles based on customer requirements and delivery schedules.
  • Follow up with the Cross-Functional Team (CFT) to coordinate and drive resolution of quality issues identified under campaigns.
  • Prepare Daily report, Monthly report , Field issue report & Campaign report 
  • Collect and analyze customer issues (0km & 3 MIS), based on the data from DMS
  • Coordinate with the field quality team to retrieve defective parts reported from the field for analysis and further investigation.
