Your impact and responsibilities:
This is a unique opportunity to join our Operations team as the Manager Operations, based at our Mulgrave head office. In this dynamic role you will lead the strategic direction of the Operations Department for Daimler Truck Financial Services Australia and New Zealand. You’ll oversee key functions including Customer Service, Collections, Dispute Resolution, Hardship, Settlements & Contract Management, and Remarketing.
Reporting into the Head of Credit Operations and Operations, your key responsibilities will include:
Strategy & Change:
- Align Operations strategy with company objectives and drive major change initiatives.
- Develop and implement plans for people leadership, technology, and process improvements.
- Challenge the status quo to foster innovation and continuous improvement.
- Optimize organizational structures and systems to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Identify and deliver strategic business opportunities focused on customers and partners.
Leadership & Engagement:
- Build and lead high-performing, diverse teams with a strong leadership culture.
- Drive engagement and performance to exceed service, customer experience, and business targets.
- Recruit, coach, and mentor talent, ensuring succession planning and career development.
- Manage resources effectively, including systems, infrastructure, and compliance processes.
- Promote a positive, compliant, and values-driven culture across Operations.
Business Performance & Operational Excellence:
- Oversee customer call centre, collections, hardship solutions, settlements, and remarketing functions.
- Manage third-party relationships and ensure compliance with legislation and policies.
- Monitor KPIs and cost of risk performance, driving efficiency and profitability.
- Deliver commercially sound decisions and explore new growth opportunities.
- Ensure customer satisfaction and operational excellence across all processes.
What we are looking for:
We’re seeking an experienced leader with a strong background in finance or banking (ideally automotive), and proven ability to motivate and develop high-performing teams. You’ll bring deep expertise in collections, remarketing, settlements and customer service, combined with strategic thinking and change management skills. Strong stakeholder management, negotiation, and communication abilities are essential, along with a customer-focused mindset and a track record of delivering results.
A relevant business degree or relevant finance industry experience is required.
