Inside the Role
As an Application Analyst within the FCCC IT Department, you will play a central role in bridging business users, application developers, and IT infrastructure teams. You will be responsible for gathering business requirements, managing and supporting key applications, providing advanced technical support, and coordinating infrastructure activities to keep FCCC’s critical systems highly available, reliable, and optimized for both current and future business needs.Posting Information

Position offers a starting salary range of $78,000.00 - $100,000.00 USD
Pay offered dependent on knowledge, skills, and experience

What You Drive at DTNA
Application Management
- Serve as the application owner for a portfolio of enterprise, engineering, and manufacturing-focused applications, including lifecycle management, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
- Manage technical administration, configuration, and maintenance for both in-house and third-party software.
- Coordinate with developers, vendors, and FCCC stakeholders for application enhancements, integrations, and ongoing support.
- Oversee application performance, availability, and reliability, ensuring alignment with FCCC’s operational goals.
- Document technical details and procedures for supported applications and processes.
Business Requirement Gathering
- Engage closely with FCCC business partners and stakeholders to capture, document, and analyze business requirements for new systems and application enhancements.
- Translate business needs into actionable technical specifications and work collaboratively with project teams to deliver robust solutions.
- Participate actively in Agile and DevOps teams to prioritize and implement FCCC’s IT initiatives.
- Conduct cost/benefit and impact analysis for proposed changes, ensuring solutions are practical and sustainable.
- Escalate production issues with appropriate business and developer group/s as needed
- Prepare metric reports and compile periodical statistical reports for management as required.
Technical Support
- Provide tier 2/3 end-user and technical support, acting as an escalation point for complex issues across FCCC’s IT systems.
- Troubleshoot application incidents, batch scheduling issues, and technical integrations across various environments.
- Coordinate and contribute to root cause analysis and continuous improvement for recurring technical issues.
- Support job scheduling, monitoring, and resolution using enterprise and mainframe/distributed scheduling systems.
- Maintain and update support documentation, knowledgebase articles, and standard work instructions.
- Assist in monitoring and resolving problem/request tickets and group mail box requests within SLA
Infrastructure Activities
- Collaborate with FCCC infrastructure teams to design, build, and implement server, storage, networking, and security solutions underpinning key business applications.
- Oversee hardware/software procurement, deployment, upgrades, and lifecycle management (including EOL activities).
- Support physical infrastructure tasks as needed (racking, structured cabling, wireless surveys, network device installation).
- Assist in capacity planning, system monitoring, and disaster recovery activities.
- Ensure compliance with IT security and audit requirements, participating in change control and risk mitigation processes.
Knowledge You Should Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field and 2 years of relevant IT experience, OR an Associates degree and years of experience, OR 6 years of experience in lieu of degree.
- Experience in application management/administration (including ownership, enhancements, and upgrades).
- Strong experience gathering business/user requirements and translating into technical solutions.
- Hands-on experience with technical support, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis for enterprise applications.
- Foundation in IT infrastructure (Linux/Unix/Windows administration, networking, storage, datacenter operations).
- Familiarity with incident/ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow).
- Strong documentation, communication, stakeholder engagement, and problem-solving skills.
- Vendor management and experience supporting third-party application platforms.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio), Azure, AWS.

Exceptional Candidates Might Have
- Experience in a manufacturing or engineering-focused IT environment.
- Knowledge of Agile/DevOps practices and working in cross-functional teams.
- Project management or oversight experience.
- Knowledge of FCCC, DTNA, or similar enterprise systems and standards.
- Background in ITIL best practices, security, and compliance.
