About the Role
We’re looking for a Business Development Manager to lead our conquest growth strategy — identifying, engaging, and converting new customers who haven’t purchased a Mercedes-Benz Truck previously.
Working in partnership with our dealer network, you’ll design and deliver strategic sales plans, build strong customer relationships, and ensure that Daimler Truck becomes the partner of choice in every segment of the UK truck market.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a successful conquest strategy across our Retail sales channels.
- Work closely with dealer partners to drive customer acquisition and unique customer counts.
- Identify market opportunities, create targeted sales campaigns, and deliver measurable performance results.
- Build trusted relationships with key stakeholders – franchise dealer principals to customer fleet decision-makers.
- Use market insight and customer intelligence to tailor solutions that meet each client’s operational and financial goals.
- Promote the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) value proposition and demonstrate how Mercedes-Benz Trucks deliver long-term efficiency and reliability.
- Manage your own schedule effectively in a field-based role covering multiple UK regions.
What You’ll Bring
- Proven track record (3+ years) in commercial vehicle, equipment, or fleet sales, ideally within a dealer or manufacturer environment.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to translate market data into actionable plans.
- Entrepreneurial, results-driven approach with strong self-motivation.
- Proficient in digital tools, CRM, and data-driven sales techniques.
- Full, clean UK driving licence and flexibility to travel extensively across the UK.
