Manufacturing Production Supervisor II

Inside the Role Directly lead employees in a manufacturing and assembly environment to meet Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Employee Morale, and Environmental performance objectives. Top candidates will display the knowledge, experience and behaviors required to maintain a safe working environment while continuously driving improvements.

What You Drive at DTNA

  • Promote a safety culture while maintaining adherence to all safety policies and standards.
  • Proactively identify potential safety hazards in the work area and mitigate the risk of injuries.
  • Oversee area safety and environmental training and other requirements and ensure completion.
  • Perform accident investigations.
  • Promote, support and coach team on maintaining a clean work area using the 5S methodology.
  • Drive positive results in key metrics SQDCME (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Employee Morale and Environmental).
  • Continuously improve metrics by leading and coaching teams in practical problem-solving activities related to top SQDCME issues.
  • Oversee daily production requirements and ensure targets are met.
  • Plan and coordinate contingency and recovery plans for downtime and equipment failures.
  • Partner with Maintenance on preventative measures to support equipment wellness.
  • Continuously improve constraints and bottleneck processes.
  • Plan and allocate resources to support the daily requirements within area(s) of responsibility.
  • Support cross training plans to increase team flexibility.
  • Manage time and attendance of direct reports.
  • Conduct regular one on one meetings with Team Leaders and conduct annual performance evaluations.
  • Interface with Labor Relations and the local Union Shop Committee as needed.
  • Foster healthy employee relations.
  • Understand Lean concepts and support implementation of initiatives.

Knowledge You Should Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university OR Associates and 2+ years related experience OR 4+ years related experience required.
  • An attached resume is required

Exceptional Candidates Might Have

  • Technical/mechanical understanding of bus systems.
  • Planning experience: an ability to think ahead and prepare action plans to achieve results.
  • Lean manufacturing experience.
  • Leadership experience: a demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others.
  • Experience in Labor Relations in Union environment.
  • An ability to drive positive results in key metrics SQDCME (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Employee Morale and Environmental).

Position offers a starting salary range of $95,000 - $121,000 USD 

Pay offered dependent on knowledge, skills, and experience. 

Benefits include annual bonus program; 401k company contribution with company match up to 6% as well as non-elective company contribution of 3 - 7% depending on age; starting at 4 weeks paid vacation; 13+ calendar holidays; 8 weeks paid parental leave; employee assistance program; comprehensive healthcare plans and wellness programs; onsite fitness (at some locations); tuition assistance and volunteer paid time off; short-term and long-term disability plans.
