QFL Supervisor - Chassis

JOB DESCRIPTION (1st Line Supervisors & above)

Position Title Engineer – QA vehicle assembly chassis line
Location / Station Oragadam, Chennai  plant
Department Quality Management
Sub-Function QA Trucks
Role Summary Responsible for overseeing the vehicle assembly chassis line by ensuring thorough inspection processes, analyzing line losses, and maintaining the straight pass ratio. Acts as a key liaison for timely communication of internal and external customer complaints to quality inspectors.
Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure Safety, 5S, SWI & JES compliant working condition related to quality assurance 
  • Conduct DWM & fix abnormality as per BharatBenz way
  • Ensure Safety, 5S, SWI & JES compliant working condition related to inspection operations.
  • Planning and deploying of required workforce of operations.
  • Conduct CFT meeting & fix root cause for CFT issues
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and drive project success.
  • Motivate team members to participate in internal & external competitions
  • Manage industrial relations topics to ensure smooth line operations and quality compliance.
  • Analyze line loss topics and fix containment actions
  • Motivate team for generating cost saving ideas
  • Maintaining and revising the skill matrix of team members on a regular basis.
  • Modify inspection checkpoints based on updated series production requirements under change management.
Knowledge & Skills required
  • Core knowledge about SAP
  • Influencing skills and stakeholder management
  • Good Interpersonal and communication skills
  • MS office knowledge – excel, ppt and word
