Procurement is one of the most international departments at DDC. As a member of the department of Daimler Truck purchasing team you will gain valuable experience and knowledge cross-functionally. There are multiple advancement and travel opportunities within the department.

Our employees receive annual training in professional negotiation tactics, as well as training courses on internal DDC functions. A position in procurement provides visibility to senior executive management within DDC and other companies.

Position offers a starting salary range of $65,000 – $83,000 USD

Pay offered dependent on knowledge, skills, and experience.

What You Drive at DTNA:
This role is responsible for contributing to political and supply chain risk assessments, including regulatory compliance, supporting contract risk evaluation, and advising buyers on contract language. The role works cross-functionally and globally with suppliers and internal teams to maintain operational resilience through key activities such as:

Primary Liaison to Internal Legal Department and Advisor to Buyers on Contractual Risk

  • Acts as the main point of contact for coordination and communication with legal departments in the US and globally as well as Daimler Truck’s global risk management.
  • Review and assess supplier agreements to identify and mitigate high-risk contractual terms.
  • Provides guidance and recommendations to buyers on how to reduce contractual risk exposure.
  • Develops and maintain a database of approved alternative contract language to support negotiation flexibility in collaboration with Daimler Truck North America’s legal department.
  • Prepares official responses to supplier communications.)

Responsible for Managing Emerging Political Risk Topics

  • Drive identification, analysis, and response strategies for evolving political risks; establish new processes and ensure cross-functional alignment.
  • Ensure suppliers keep materials and substances up to date used in part production in the International Material Data System (IMDS)
  • Manage the certification process for end-use declarations involving Chinese-sourced rare earth materials and other end to end supply chain reporting that may arise.


Typical Minimum Education & Experience

  • Typically requires 3 years of relevant experience or Bachelor degree + 1 year of relevant experience
  • Knowledge of legal framework and contractual agreements
  • Ability to get up to speed quickly and assess legal challenges for changing geopolitical environment
  • Problem solver with solution-focused mindset
