Sr. Legal Manager

Objective of the position: Reporting directly to Mexico's General Counsel, the Senior Legal Manager will lead the strategic management of Labor & Employment legal matters across all three business units: Trucks, Buses, and DTFS. This includes overseeing litigation, ensuring labor compliance, and driving risk mitigation strategies. The role is pivotal in shaping and executing legal strategies aligned with the company’s business objectives, providing proactive and high-impact legal support at all organizational levels.

Main Functions:

-Provide comprehensive legal support on labor-related matters to all company sites, including manufacturing plants, across the Trucks, Buses, and DTFS business units, ensuring alignment with national labor laws and internal policies.

-Lead the development and execution of labor litigation strategies with the support of external counsel, with a strong focus on preventive legal planning & early risk identification.

-Lead legal oversight of Social Security matters, including IMSS-related litigation, inspections, and audits, in close coordination with HR, EHS, and site leadership to ensure regulatory compliance and mitigate operational risks across all business units.

-Collaborate with Compliance and HR Compliance teams in internal investigations, promoting ethical standards, legal integrity, and a culture of accountability across all business units.

-Manage and develop a team of 1 legal professional to support area of responsibility Partner with HR and Labor Relations teams to support union-related matters, including collective bargaining negotiations and dispute resolution, fostering a culture of collaboration and mutual respect.

-Support Mexico’s General Counsel in the overall legal budget management, ensuring smart spending through efficient resource allocation, cost optimization, and value-driven decision-making across all legal functions.
